Stella McCartney gives birth to a boy

LONDON, March 1 (UPI) -- The daughter of ex-Beatle Paul McCartney, British fashion designer Stella McCartney, has given birth to her first child, a boy.

A spokesman for Stella McCartney and her publisher husband Alasdhair Willis said that soon after the Feb. 25th birth, the baby, who has not yet been named, was treated for some minor breathing difficulties, the Web site Hellomagazine.com reported.

"Stella and Alasdhair Willis are thrilled to announce the birth of their healthy and happy baby boy," the spokesman said.

Stella McCartney has been finishing her new collection, which is scheduled to hit the runways in Paris in March.
