Album producer Clive Davis, chairman and chief executive officer of BMG North America, signed Fantasia to J Records in association with "American Idol" creator Simon Fuller's 19 Recordings Ltd.

Davis said the artist's first single would be "Truth Is," produced by Soulshock & Karlin. "Truth Is" would impact Urban and Rhythm radio Nov. 15 and Top 40 radio Nov. 29.

"Fantasia is the real deal, an artist who is instantly identifiable and very much her own person," said Davis. "She will have a long and illustrious career."

The album will include Fantasia's version of the Gershwins' "Summertime," the song that took her to the final round on Fox's "American Idol" competition.

The album includes the tracks: "Ain't Gon' Beg You," "You Were Always On My Mind," "Baby Mama" and "Don't Act Right."
