Cannell collaborated with "Judging Amy" writer Paul Guyot on the story for "The Dark," and Guyot wrote the teleplay for the pilot. It's described as the story of an FBI team that specializes in tracking and apprehending the most baffling, dangerous and disturbing serial criminals.

Cannell is also working on feature adaptations of three of his 1980s series -- "The A-Team," which made a star of Mr. T, "21 Jump Street," which made a star of Johnny Depp, and "The Greatest American Hero."
