Sharon Osbourne says Ozzy saved her

LONDON, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Sharon Osbourne, wife of British rocker Ozzy Osbourne, said she was devastated to find out she had colon cancer but believes her husband saved her.

"I never thought of going to the doctors," she said. "I put any pain down to what I had eaten or I was tired -- you come up with a million reasons why. But Ozzy made me go."

Osbourne told the Sunday Mirror that the cancer was serious.

"It was in stage two," Osbourne added. "It wasn't the size of it that concerned them, it was where it was positioned in my colon that was important."

Being told she had cancer was horrible, but Osbourne said that when told it was gone, it was an amazing feeling.

"You feel like you are born again," she said. "Now it just seems like I was never ill. You know, when you have a baby it hurts and then as soon as you see that baby you forget anything about that pain. It's a similar feeling."
