Mary-Louise Parker back on Broadway

NEW YORK, Oct. 2 (UPI) -- Emmy and Tony Award-winning actress Mary-Louise Parker is set to return to New York City's Broadway in a new production of the dark comedy, "Reckless."

Written by Craig Lucas and directed by Mark Brokaw, the Manhattan Theatre Club and Second Stage Theatre co-production also stars Rosie Perez, Olga Merediz, Debra Monk, Michael O'Keefe, Thomas Sadoski and Jeremy Shamos.

Parker took home an Emmy Award Sunday for her supporting role in the critically acclaimed HBO miniseries "Angels in America." She previously won a Tony Award for her performance in the Broadway sensation, "Proof." She has also been seen in the play "Prelude to a Kiss" and the drama, "How I Learned to Drive," which was directed by Brokaw.

The play, "Reckless," is about a woman who leaves home after learning her husband has hired someone to kill her. It is currently in previews and is scheduled to officially open Oct. 14 at Manhattan's Biltmore Theatre.
