NEW YORK, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- Grammy Award-winning singer Melissa Etheridge, wrapping up her current U.S. and Canadian tour, is raising money for VH1's Save the Music Foundation.
Etheridge is donating two front row tickets for each of her last 18 concert stops throughout September and October.
Fans can bid for a pair of tickets by visiting VH1's Save The Music's Web site at vh1savethemsuic.com. Proceeds are used to help restore music education programs throughout U.S. public schools.
"I am so happy to use the last leg of my tour to help bring the benefits of music education to more children," said Etheridge. "Each year the VH1 Save The Music Foundation continues to inspire children and help them grow in all aspects of life. I am so pleased to be a part of their cause."
Since VH1 initiated Save The Music in 1997, more than $25 million worth of musical instruments has been donated to 1,000 U.S. public schools in 80 cities.
