The 179-page book, with more than 300 photos, offers 23 rules for being an heiress, such as "never, ever wake up before 10; never go to bed before 3," and "If all else fails, act bored."

Hilton also shares her life philosophy: "I take my dog, Tinkerbell seriously. I take my work seriously. But I don't take myself all that seriously."

Hilton, star of Fox TV's "Simple Life," wrote the book with entertainment journalist Merle Ginsberg.
