'Soprano's' Edie Falco returns to Broadway

NEW YORK, Aug. 21 (UPI) -- Award-winning, U.S. actress Edie Falco is set to star in the upcoming Broadway revival of Marsha Norman's drama, "'Night, Mother."

Best-known for her portrayal of mob matron Carmela Soprano on the HBO series, "The Sopranos," Falco has previously starred in the Broadway productions of "Sideman" and "Frankie and Johnny in the Claire de Lune."

Expected to co-star with Falco in the new production of "'Night, Mother" is "Saving Grace" and "Lovely and Amazing" actress Brenda Blethyn.

The Pulitzer Prize-winning play, about the complicated relationship between a mother and daughter, is scheduled to begin preview performances Oct. 22 and open Nov. 14.
