Gwyneth Paltrow to play singer Peggy Lee

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 14 (UPI) -- U.S. actress Gwyneth Paltrow is to star as the late singer Peggy Lee in a film about the life of "In Cold Blood" writer Truman Capote.

Sky News reported Saturday Lee collaborated with Capote in some of her best known songs.

In the film, "Every Word Is True," British actor Toby Jones is set to play the part of Capote, who shot to fame with his book "In Cold Blood," a "nonfiction novel" about the brutal 1959 slaying of the Clutter family in Kansas by two would-be robbers.

Also in the film are: Mark Wahlberg, Sandra Bullock and Sigourney Weaver.

Production on the $11 million movie begins in January, Variety reported.
