Angela Bassett taking on 'Alias'

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Oscar-nominated actress Angela Bassett has joined the cast of the top-rated U.S. series, "Alias," TV Guide reported Tuesday.

Bassett reportedly will play the new CIA director in the ABC series, which also stars Jennifer Garner and Michael Vartan.
