E! Online reported Love, who had been wanted on a warrant, was bailed after a half-hour for $150,000.

"She was very cooperative throughout the entire process," said Capt. Patrick Findley, of the Los Angeles Police Department.

Love is to be arraigned Aug. 20 on an assault charge stemming an alleged April attack on another woman at the Los Angeles home of Love's ex-boyfriend and onetime manager.

Love's lawyer, Michael Rosenstein, has explained his client failed to appear for a July 9 hearing in Los Angeles because she was confused that she had to be there. The same day, she was rushed to a New York City hospital for what Rosenstein described as "an emergency gynecological condition."

"Yes, I am very much a New Yorker, but I've always dreamed of kind of having the country place in upstate New York," the former camp counselor and Oscar-winning actor told reporters in Manhattan recently.

"It's very similar, actually, to where we were shooting in Pennsylvania. I love the wilderness. I love being in touch with nature. You somehow have a moment to decompress and see what's really important, and it's very difficult in this hectic a world to go back to basics."

Brody and his co-stars Joaquin Phoenix, Bryce Dallas Howard, William Hurt and Sigourney Weaver were all asked to leave their cell phones, Ipods and laptop computers at home during a three-week rehearsal period for M. Night Shyamalan's latest suspense drama.

Redford fights claustrophobia in 'Clearing'

LOS ANGELES, July 24 (UPI) -- U.S. actor and filmmaker Robert Redford says one reason he stared in "The Clearing" was because it forced him to confront his real-life claustrophobia.

The kidnap drama is about a successful businessman, played by Redford, who is kidnapped by a laid-off worker, played by Willem Dafoe, is held for ransom in the woods. His wife, played by Helen Mirren, frantically works with the FBI to bring him home.

Redford spent much of the film held against his will, something he said made him feel very uncomfortable, he admitted to reporters.

"(I liked) the story because it was offbeat ... I liked what I thought the theme underneath it was, which was the two sides of the American dream," said the 66-year-old actor. "I was drawn to the character because of the challenge of being in a claustrophobic situation."

The Sundance Institute founder revealed that he was very claustrophobic.

I do not like to sit too long in a chair. I don't like to be confined," he said. "I hated it, but it was good. That's the reason for the close photography in the film because in the film, (is about how) how this event, this shock, is affecting their lives."
