Ticket stalled 'Sex' star's Emmy party

LOS ANGELES, July 16 (UPI) -- "Sex and the City" star Kristin Davis was delayed in celebrating her Emmy nomination, the U.S. actress' first, because a policeman gave her a ticket.

Just minutes after Davis learned she had been nominated for her role on the popular HBO series Thursday, she was stopped by a police officer for having darkened windows, World Entertainment News Network reported Friday.

"I got a ticket because my windows are dark on my car. It's a security problem. We have stalkers, we have paparazzi," Davis said about her police incident.

"I tried to explain to the nice gentleman who pulled me over that I was late ... and I got nominated for an Emmy, and 'Couldn't I please go,' and he said, 'No,'" she said.

Davis' "Sex and the City" cast mates Kim Cattrall, Sarah Jessica Parker and Cynthia Nixon all picked up Emmy nominations.
