HBO developing realty show

LOS ANGELES, June 28 (UPI) -- Actor Stephen Dorff is developing a show for HBO about the high-stakes world of Los Angeles real estate, Daily Variety said Monday.

The star of "Blade" and "Cold Creek Manor" said the project was inspired by his own experience trying to buy a house in Los Angeles. He told Variety he originally thought of the project as a movie.

"But I realized one day that there were too many stories and characters, and that we should do it as a show," he said.

Plans call for a series of half-hour episodes revolving around four real estate agents competing at cutthroat level, in what Dorff described as a cross between "Glengarry Glen Ross" and "Swingers."
