ABC begins producton on 'Five People'

LOS ANGELES, June 4 (UPI) -- ABC has started production on "Five People You Meet In Heaven," with a cast of veteran actors bringing Mitch Albom's bestseller to the small screen.

The three-hour TV movie, shooting in Vancouver, stars Steven Grayhm from "White Chicks" as the main character of Eddie in his younger days and Oscar winner Jon Voight as the older version, Zap2it.com reported Friday.

Other actors include Jeff Daniels, Oscar winner Ellen Burstyn and Michael Imperioli from "The Sopranos."

Albom's book tells the story of Eddie, a war veteran who worked as an amusement park repairman, and about the five people he meets in Heaven when he dies.

ABC adapted another Albom bestseller, "Tuesdays With Morrie," in 1999, a production that won four Emmys, including best made-for-TV movie.
