Halle Berry files for divorce

LOS ANGELES, April 27 (UPI) -- Oscar-winning actress Halle Berry has filed for divorce from second husband Eric Benet in Los Angeles, Entertainment Tonight reported Tuesday.

Citing irreconcilable differences, Berry filed for divorce six months after she and Benet announced their separation.

Since their 2001 wedding, the two had been plagued by reports of Benét's serial infidelity and sex addiction, and the couple's attempts to save their union through counseling, ET noted.

Berry was previously married to former professional baseball player David Justice.
