Mullally: Disney fired me from 'Nemo'

LOS ANGELES, April 7 (UPI) -- Megan Mullally says she was fired from the film "Finding Nemo" because she refused to assume the high-pitched voice she uses on "Will & Grace."

Mullally said on "The Wayne Brady Show" Tuesday that she told Disney from the start she wasn't interested in recreating for the animated fish tale the voice she uses for boozy, sharp-tongued Karen Walker on "Will & Grace."

The actress told Brady the studio agreed to let her use whatever voice she wanted, however, once she started work on the movie, the filmmakers encouraged her to raise her voice a little higher.

Mullally said they terminated her when she refused.

She did not say to which character she would have lent her voice.
