Two from L.A. band Ozomatli arrested

AUSTIN, Texas, March 19 (UPI) -- Two members of the L.A. band Ozomatli were arrested after a scuffle with police in Austin, Texas, during a performance outside a nightclub.

The band won a Grammy in 2002 for best Latin rock/alternative album.

As is its practice, after the band finished its set early Thursday inside the Exodus club, the band members got off the stage and trooped through the audience, still playing their instruments, Billboard.com said. They headed out the door and into the street, followed by audience members.

But police didn't view the mix of nightclubbers and band members favorably, and asked them to return inside.

A scuffle ensued, and two band members -- percussionist Jiro Yamaguchi and bassist Willy Abers -- and the band manager Amy Sue Blackman-Romero were arrested, Billboard.com said.
