Stars gear up for fourth 'Potter' flick

LONDON, Jan. 26 (UPI) -- The young stars of the "Harry Potter" blockbusters told Sci Fi Wire they are eager to begin work on the fourth film in the franchise.

"Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire," to be directed by Mike Newell, is now in pre-production.

"Yeah, we're all on board for the fourth one," Emma Watson, the actress who plays bookish Hermione, said during a break in filming on the set of the third film, "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban," in London last fall.

Daniel Radcliffe, who plays boy wizard Harry, added: "Definitely. After that, we haven't finished the third yet so we're kind of like, one step at a time."

Rupert Grint, the redheaded teen who plays Ron, will also reprise his role in the fourth film.

Radcliffe went on to say he is already researching Newell's films in preparation.

"If you're going to work with any director, I think it's quite important to know kind of what stuff they've done before," he said.

Newell is best known for his films "Donnie Brasco," "Four Weddings and a Funeral" and "Enchanted April."
