LOS ANGELES, Jan. 20 (UPI) -- Ben Affleck is asking fans to submit digital photos in a contest aimed to pick the on-set photographer for an upcoming film, Zap2it.com reported Tuesday.
Affleck's Project Greenlight has teamed with computer giant HP for a worldwide digital photography contest titled "YOU Take Five," in which entrants submit a series of five images telling a story.
The contest gives people the chance to become the official on-set photographer for Project Greenlight's next independent film as well as earn a walk-on role in the movie and have their photo essay, or YOUstory, featured in an HP advertisement.
To enter the contest, photographers submit five digital photos that tell a story to the HP Web site.
Project Greenlight is a unique filmmaking contest created by Affleck, actor Matt Damon and producer Chris Moore to give undiscovered filmmakers a chance to break into Hollywood. This year's winners will be announced mid-2004 and awarded a $1 million production budget to make their movie.
