NEW YORK, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- A bevy of New York City's biggest stars can carry loaded guns, according to a police list of gun-license holders.

Among the more than 3,600 New Yorkers allowed to hit the street with a loaded weapon are: Robert De Niro, Harvey Keitel, Howard Stern, Don Imus, Donald Trump and Tommy Mottola, the New York Post reported.

Ex-police chief Howard Safir and publisher and author Michael Korda also have gun licenses, but they're not allowed to strap on their weapons.

Their "premise" permit allows them to keep a gun in their homes and demands that when they travel with their weapons, the guns must be unloaded and locked in a safety box, with the ammunition kept separate.

William F. Buckley, Chazz Palminteri, Paul Sorvino, Joan Rivers and Steven Seagal were turned down when they applied to have their permits renewed by the New York Police Department since 2002, the Post said.

Martha Stewart celebrates turning 62

NEW YORK, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- Martha Stewart turned 62 Sunday and in her magazine Living she said she planned to "Pack a lunch and go out on a picnic boat."

Her spokeswoman, Anna Cordasco, declined to say exactly where the indicted entrepreneur will be marking her birthday.

"I'm not at liberty to say," Cordasco told the New York Daily News. "But she will be having a nice quiet birthday with her family and friends."

John Small, creator of the savemartha.com Web site, launched a project called Cakes Across America in honor of the domestic goddess, the News reported.

"We want everyone to bake a cake using Martha's recipes and share it with a friend, relative or neighbor -- to share all the good things Martha gives to her fans," he said.

Stewart was charged in June with conspiracy, obstruction of justice, making false statements and securities fraud in the ImClone insider-trading case.

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 3 (UPI) -- They may be Hollywood's hottest couple, but their movie "Gigli" was box office poison during its premier weekend.

"Gigli" cost $131 million to produce and had what was described as "sparse" attendance at the 2,200 theaters in which it debuted, the New York Post reported.

Friday's debut only brought in $1.47 million, according to Box Office Mojo, a Los Angeles-based Web site that tracks movie ticket sales.

Affleck and Lopez are engaged.
