SAN ANTONIO, Aug. 17 (UPI) -- San Antonio's Valero Energy said Thursday it will provide Susser Petroleum with fuel and brand programs over the next 11 years.
Under the agreement, Valero will supply fuel to more than 300 Susser retail stores in Texas and Oklahoma, which will make it the biggest rack fuel marketer in Texas with 1,900 branded wholesale and company-owned locations.
Susser retails largely under the Citgo brand, but under the latest deal, most of its retail sites will be taking on the Valero brand from September, a move that is expected to take about a year to complete.
Susser Petroleum is part of Susser Holdings, which operates 322 convenience stores in Texas and Oklahoma and distributes motor fuels to over 352 branded dealers.
