Joey Bosa, the third overall pick in the 2016 NFL Draft, remains unsigned and the San Diego Chargers seem to have no idea when to expect him to arrive at training camp.

The Ohio State defensive end is one of three first-round picks currently unsigned, including former Buckeyes teammate Darron Lee of the New York Jets.

At issue is the amount of money Bosa receives upfront and language surrounding off-set clauses, which kick in only if Bosa winds up on another roster before his standard four-year rookie deal - with a fifth-year option - expires.

"I guess we'll see. I really don't know if he'll (show up). We're still working on it. Hopefully we'll get something done, but I don't know," Chargers GM Tom Telesco said Monday in a radio interview.

"We've never really had an issue signing draft picks since I've been here. We've actually been one of the quicker teams in getting guys done. Especially when it's not really over money -- or guaranteed money -- I know people get puzzled by it."

Training camp begins Friday. Rookie holdouts are uncommon since the NFL uses a slotting system to determine the maximum value of every deal based on the draft pick number.
