Wayne Hoovestol, Green Plains' chief executive officer, agreed to serve as a member of Growth Energy's board of directors.

Growth Energy promotes reducing greenhouse gas emissions, increasing the use of ethanol in gasoline, decreasing U.S. dependence on foreign oil and creating new jobs.

One of Growth Energy's core beliefs are that ethanol is America's "growth energy," because it is clean-burning, renewable and can stimulate economic growth.
