Vista International and Vista International Technologies will work with ID Global Capital and the municipal government of Kostinbrod, Bulgaria. The plant will be built in the city just outside the Bulgarian capital of Sofia.

The project will be a public-private joint venture between all the parties involved, Vista said, and will utilize VVIT's thermal gasifier technology, which has met the Environmental Protection Agency and EU emissions standards.

The new plant is estimated to be able to handle more than 70,000 tons per year of municipal solid waste, with the capability to handle other waste streams as well.

Vista International estimates investment could be in the range of anywhere from $35 million to $50 million.
