Halliburton wins Total Indonesia contract

HOUSTON, Aug. 28 (UPI) -- Halliburton Monday won a $60 million contract from Total E&P Indonesie for directional drilling and related services.

"Total E&P Inodonesie is currently running a huge activity in the East Kalimantan area, where up to nine rigs are drilling," said Jean-Christophe Leroy, Peciko field drilling operations manager at the French oil group's Indonesian unit. "We expect Halliburton to reach, in the shortest time, the challenging performance objectives we have raised for our offshore gas wells."
