Turkmenbashi refinery sees 12% output rise

ASGABAT, Turkmenistan, May 30 (UPI) -- Turkmen TV reported Monday that Turkmenistan's major oil refinery has seen an increase in its output thus far into 2006.

The Turkmenbashi oil refinery, located in western Turkmenistan, has seen a 12 percent rise in its liquefied gas production since January.

Following the rise in production and output, the refinery has seen its total levels of refined fuel for the first half of the year reach an unprecedented 82,000 tons of refined fuel.

Refined fuel from the Turkmenbashi refinery is exported to foreign customers, and is also in great demand on the domestic market.
