MILAN, Italy, Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Italy's Eni SpA may hit 2 million barrels a day in 2008, Chief Executive Officer Paolo Scaroni said.
Scaroni said Eni continues to grow more than all the other oil companies.

"In 2000, oil production was below 1 million barrels per day," he said. "In 2008, we will produce close to 2 million barrels per day."
Eni has already said it sees full-year 2007 production in line with the 1.77 million barrels of oil equivalent per day seen in 2006, based on an average price of $55 per barrel.
