SPACEBALLS

-- This sendup by director Mel Brooks incorporates the silliest aspects of all the major space adventures of the last decade, and the whole is a hilarious combination of its parts. 'May the Schwartz be with you' is the rallying cry here, just as 'May the force be with you' was in the 'Star Wars' movies, but each scene is a skit worth savoring.

(Your face may get tired of smiling.) Some characters worth going back for include Barg, the 'mog' -- half man and half dog - played by John Candy; Dark Helmut, played by Rick Moranis, and Skroob and Yogurt, each portrayed by Brooks. A scene worth the price of admission: the transformation of the Spaceballs ship into a giant cleaning woman who resembles the Statue of Liberty. Rated PG.
