Scott Maddox is the former chairman of the Florida Democratic Party and former Mayor of Tallahassee, Florida. He declared his candidacy for Governor of Florida, but dropped out of the race on October 7, 2005 and endorsed U.S. Congressman Jim Davis instead. He was elected mayor of Tallahassee at age 26, one of the youngest ever mayors of a large American city.
Maddox is a product of Leon High School (Class of 1986) in Tallahassee and received his Bachelor degree in Political Science and law degree from Florida State University. He was a member of the men's fraternity Kappa Alpha.
