V. Richard Hendrix (born November 15, 1986) is an American professional basketball player. Hendrix had previously attended the University of Alabama where he played for the Crimson Tide. He was drafted 19th in the second round in the 2008 NBA Draft by the Golden State Warriors.

He was released on December 18, 2008 without appearing in a regular season game with the Warriors.

Richard attended Athens High School where he was a four-year starter on the varsity basketball team. Richard was coached by his father Venard Hendrix. He was named First team All-State as a sophomore, he was selected to the Super 1st team All-State his final two years of high school. He was named 5A Player of the Year and selected as “Mr. Basketball” in the state of Alabama in 2005. Richard finished his career 92 double-doubles, nine triple doubles, and two quadruple doubles. Richard scored 2,915 points in his career and currently holds Alabama high school state records (www.ahsaa.com) for career rebounds (1,820) and blocked shots (667). Hendrix is considered one of the most decorated prep basketball players in Alabama high school history.
