Masoud Mir Kazemi (مسعود میرکاظمی in Persian) is currently the Minister of Petroleum of Iran, replacing Gholamhossein Nozari after President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad was re-elected. Kazemi had previously headed Shahed University and headed Iran's Ministry of Commerce. Kazemi has discussed the possibility of making neighbouring Iraq a major gas export market, citing the destruction of Iraq's energy infrastructure as a result of the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
On 14 October 2010, Mir Kazemi elected as OPEC Conference President for 2011 OPEC.
On 9 May 2011, it was announced that Ministry of Petroleum be marged with Ministry of Energy and Mir Kazemi will be leave cabinet after it.
