Wiki

Horacio Ramírez (born November 24, 1979 in Carson, California) is a Major League Baseball pitcher for the Kansas City Royals. His parents emigrated from Jalostotitlan, Jalisco, Mexico. Both of his grandparents are currently living there.

He made his debut for the Atlanta Braves in 2003, when he had a solid 4.00 ERA over 29 starts. He got off to an excellent start in 2004 with a 2.39 ERA in the first nine starts, before he suffered a shoulder injury, initially thought minor, but which eventually sidelined him for the rest of the season, except for one September relief appearance.

His pitching arsenal consists of a low 90's fastball, a slider, a cutter, and a curveball.
