Derrick James Mason (born January 17, 1974) is an American football wide receiver for the New York Jets of the National Football League. He was drafted by the Tennessee Oilers in the fourth round of the 1997 NFL Draft. He played college football at Michigan State.
Mason has also played for the Baltimore Ravens where he became the Ravens' all time leading receiver with 5,777 yards.
Mason attended Mumford High School in Detroit, Michigan. He set a school record for both catches (70) and receiving yards (1,243).
