David Patten (born August 19, 1974 in Hopkins, South Carolina) is an American football wide receiver for the Cleveland Browns of the National Football League. He was signed by the Albany Firebirds as a street free agent in 1996. He played college football at Western Carolina.

Patten has also played for the New England Patriots, Washington Redskins and New Orleans Saints. He earned three Super Bowl rings with the Patriots.

Patten began his professional football career by playing with the Arena Football League's Albany Firebirds in the summer of 1996. He signed late in the AFL's season and played in their final regular season game on August 2, 1996 in a 54-49 win over the Milwaukee Mustangs. Patten caught two passes for 37 yards in the game.
