Daniel Hoffard "Dan" Kennedy (born July 22, 1982) is an American soccer player who currently plays for Chivas USA in Major League Soccer.

Kennedy attended El Dorado High School in Placentia, California. After graduating, he went to college at the University of California, Santa Barbara. He majored in Communications and minored in Sports Management. Where he was also an All-American Goalkeeper for the soccer team, the UCSB Gauchos, setting numerous school records the most notable being career shutout leader shutouts. He was a member of the 2004 UCSB team that marched to the finals of the 2004 Division I Men's College Cup. In the championship game against Indiana University, Kennedy allowed only 1 goal through extra time, UCSB ended up losing in a penalty shootout. Kennedy was named to the All Tournament team for his performances is the playoffs.

During his college years, Kennedy also played with Orange County Blue Star in the USL Premier Development League. He played alongside Jürgen Klinsmann, who played under a pseudonym, as well as UCSB teammate Tony Lochhead.
