Major-General Claudio Graziano was appointed Force Commander of the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) in 2007.

He is married to Signora Marisa.They live in a village near Rome. In 2006, he was promoted to major general. He was assigned to the Alpine Taurinense Brigade in 2004. He has two master degrees for human sciences and strategic military sciences.
