LOS ANGELES, Oct. 1 (UPI) -- People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals celebrated 35 years of advocating for animal rights with a star-studded bash Wednesday.
Anjelica Huston and Pamela Anderson hosted the gathering which honored the likes of Alicia Silverstone, RZA, Bill Maher, Jason Biggs, Fred Willard, James Cromwell, Jane Velez-Mitchell, Jillian Michaels, Kate del Castillo, Maggie, Marco Antonio Regil, Mary Matalin, Mike White, Noah Cyrus, Shaun Monson and Tommy Lee for their advocacy efforts.
Some of the award-winners are more than animal rights activists and even adhere to a vegan and or vegetarian lifestyle. Some of the non-meat-eating celebrities at the event were:
Alicia Silverstone: The Clueless star promotes a meat-less way of life through her website The Kind Life.
Maggie Q: The Nikita star often credits her slender figure to her vegan diet.
Kesha: While the "Tik Tok" singer is not a vegan, she says she lives a vegetarian lifestyle.
