ATLANTA, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Justin Bieber debuted his new song "Broken" over the weekend. "Broken" is Bieber's first release since his January arrest on drunk driving and resisting arrest charges.
The 19-year-old star has been at the center of even more media attention than usual, with focus on his DUI, drug use, an assault involving his bodyguards, and his seemingly unwelcome move into an Atlanta music producer's quirky home.
Bieber addresses the recent drama in "Broken," singing, "I guess they want a reaction / I ain't gonna give it to 'em" and asserting, "I cannot be broken / like I know you were hoping."
Despite the controversy, the star seems to have reason to brag as the music video for his 2010 hit "Baby" has just surpassed one billion views on VEVO, making it the most-watched video in VEVO history. Setting the record must be a welcome early birthday present for Bieber, who turns twenty years old this Saturday, March 1.
