"The president's walking down the hall. And he sees me and he goes, 'Willie, what's up?' " Robertson recalled. "I'm like, 'Hey, what's up?' So we're talking, and we're having this conversation."

Robertson said he and the President first met at the White House Correspondents' dinner.

"The last time I met him, at the Correspondents' Dinner, I had a tux on," Robertson said. "He's like, 'Where's the tux?' I'm like, 'This is my State of the Union attire.' "

Robertson and his wife were invited to attend the State of the Union address by his friend Rep. Vance McAllister, R-La.
