SOCHI, Russia, Feb. 16 (UPI) -- Seem's like a mother's love isn't always unconditional.
Norwegian skier Martin Johnsrud Sundby found that out the hard way Friday when his mother, Gro Johnsrud Langslet, failed to hide her disappointment when he came in 13th in the 15-kilometer cross-country race.
As she watched him near the finish line, a full two minutes after the gold medalist, Dario Cologna, she said, "Look at that. He doesn't stand a chance."
"You're the worst Norwegian,” Langslet said of her son on DBTV. “You should go home."
Hopefully she was happy with his bronze medal in the Olympic skiathalon.
“He isn’t as bad as this indicates,” she added. “This is the worst he’s been this year.”
