WILSON COUNTY, Tenn., Feb. 14 (UPI) -- A Tennessee man has been charged with the murder of his mother- and father-in-law after he allegedly planted a bomb at their home.

Richard Parker, 49, was arrested and charged Thursday with two counts of felony first-degree murder, two counts of premeditated first-degree murder, and one count of unlawful possession of a prohibited weapon.

A package placed at the home of Jon and Marion Setzer detonated Monday at the Setzers' home in Wilson County, killing Jon and critically injuring Marion. Marion Setzer died Wednesday night at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.

Police announced Parker's arrest Thursday, after he spent several days with loved ones at the hospital waiting for news of Marion Setzer's condition.

Mark Gwyn, director of the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation, said Parker is the only suspect.

"Right now we feel like we have the person responsible for committing this crime in custody," he said.

Authorities would not discuss a potential motive or the makeup of the explosive device, but did confirm it was placed at the Setzers' house, not sent through the mail.

Parker has a 1993 conviction for arson, for which he served four years' probation.
