LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Kate Upton might be the hottest supermodel on earth, but that doesn't mean she's about to turn down a marriage proposal from a magic dragon.

A day after the 21-year-old Sports Illustrated cover girl was proposed to by the Orlando Magic mascot at a basketball game in Florida, TMZ caught up with her to inquire if she had made up her mind about the proposal.

"It was a huge honor," Upton said of being proposed to by the mascot. "He is a magic dragon, how could I say no?" she added.

Upton -- who was interviewed at LAX on way back from Orlando -- had attended the game with new beau, Detroit Tigers pitcher Justin Verlander. After being spotted together at a few events over the last couple of months, the two came public with their relationship at a Super Bowl party in early February.

After both Upton and the dragon tweeted at each other following Sunday's game, Verlander tweeted at both of them to point out that he had only been gone "for 5 seconds" before she got proposed to by a new guy.
