BEL AIR, Calif., Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Disney's Frozen is a bonafide hit, and the cast and creators celebrated passing the $900 million mark by putting on a live show of songs from the film.

Idina Menzel, Kristen Bell and Santino Fontana, along with Josh Gad, who emceed the evening, performed songs from the movie's soundtrack, which has spent four weeks atop the Billboard albums' chart.

“Apparently Disney didn’t realize they have a concert (hall) named after them so we’re here at this Bat Mitzvah venue,” Gad said, kicking off the event at the Vibrato Grill in Bel Air Sunday night.

He thanked Disney-Pixar chief John Lasseter, who was also celebrating his 26th wedding anniversary, along with co-directors Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee and songwriters Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez, for not casting Jonah Hill in his role before breaking into Olaf's cheeky "In Summer."

Jonathan Groff, Gad explained, was absent from the evening "not because he sings the only Disney song with no beginning, middle or end," but because he had a cold.

He introduced Kristen Bell, who sang "Do You Want to Build a Snowman?" and duetted with Fontana on "Love is an Open Door," by joking she was "already crowdfunding the sequel."

Bell was more earnest, admitting she had "wanted to be a Disney princess since I was five."

But it was Menzel's performance of "Let It Go," the Oscar- and Golden Globe-nominated showstopper that remains in the top 25 of Billboard's Hot 100.
