Chris Kattan, former 'SNL' star, arrested for DUI

The comedian admitted to being under the influence of prescription drugs at the time of the incident.

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Former Saturday Night Live cast member Chris Kattan was arrested early Monday morning in Los Angeles.

The 43-year-old actor was arrested on the 101 freeway in the San Fernando Valley after his car struck another vehicle. Law enforcement officials told TMZ that Kattan admitted to being under the influence of prescription drugs at the time of the incident.

Kattan reportedly crossed into an area that was closed off and struck an empty Dept. of Transportation vehicle from behind. The comedian was not injured.

Before the incident, a driver had reportedly called the California Highway Patrol to report that a driver in a Mercedes was "weaving all over the roadway at slow speeds."

Kattan was arrested and charged with DUI, specifically for drugs.
