Giada De Laurentiis made modeling debut at New York Fashion week

NEW YORK, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Italian-born Food Network host Giada De Laurentiis made her modeling debut Thursday during 2014's New York Fashion Week.

The 43-year-old television personality took on the catwalk during the Heart Truth Dress Collection show.

"I'm super excited; I've never done this before. I used to think being a model and walking the runway was an easy job, but I have changed my mind. I have so much respect for those women because it's a tough job!" she told E! News before the show.

The Italian-American beauty rocked a cleavage bearing Carolina Herrera gown during her cat walk.

Asked about how she prepared for her first time on the runway, De Laurentiis revealed she simply practiced on her own.

"I've sort of not asked anybody [for help.] I kind of want it to be my own experience!" she said.
