Eva Mendes gets pulled over for talking on her phone

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 7 (UPI) -- Eva Mendes is not having a good week.

Two days after two publications reported that Mendes had broken up with boyfriend Ryan Gosling, the 39-year-old Hitch star was pulled over for talking on the phone while driving in Los Angeles, Calif.

According to TMZ, Mendes was instructed to bring her SUV to a halt when a bike cop saw her phone-talking and driving on Thursday.

However, it seems the Place Beyond The Pines actress might've talked her way out of a ticket as officers say there is no record of her citation.

Mendes and Gosling began dating in 2011, and according to reports, the two decided to call it quits around Christmas of 2013 because they simply "knew it was time."
