LOS ANGELES, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Despite repeated attempts to return to the heydays of "must-see TV," NBC hasn't had much success with its struggling Thursday night comedy block. Michael J. Fox's heavily promoted return to the network, The Michael J. Fox Show, hasn't fared as well as hoped, prompting the network to pull the sitcom's remaining episodes from its Thursday schedule.

The show's last episode aired Jan. 23, only drawing 2.2 million viewers. Jane Lynch's Hollywood Game Night will replace Fox in its usual 9 p.m. time slot on Feb. 27, once the Olympics have concluded. Only 15 episodes of the show's 22-episode season have aired.
But this doesn't mean that it's gone forever.
An NBC rep told Vulture that the show "is not canceled," and that the network is "looking for a place" for it after April 3.
Loosely based on the 52-year-old actor's real-life struggle with Parkinson's disease, Fox followed the life of news anchor and family man Mike Henry, who decides to go back to work after a period of retirement.
