LONDON, Feb. 5 (UPI) -- Elizabeth Hurley did not have sexual relations with Bill Clinton.

The 48-year-old English model has come forward -- and taken legal action -- to deny claims that she had an affair with the former U.S. president. Hurley's actions come days after British tabloid The Globe published a story alleging the two had a series of secret encounters.

"Ludicrously silly stories about me & Bill Clinton," Hurley tweeted Wednesday. "Totally untrue. In the hands of my lawyers. Yawn."

The Globe's story cited an audio recording from Hurley's ex Tom Sizemore, where he spoke of the alleged rendezvous between the actress and Clinton. On the tape, which was recorded in January of this year, the 52-year-old actor can be heard speaking to two friends about the alleged affair.

According to Radar Online, Sizemore said the affair began during a 1998 White House screening of Saving Private Ryan where the president allegedly asked him for Hurley's phone number. After Sizemore gave it to Clinton, the former Commander-in-Chief reportedly called Hurley and told her he was having a private plane fly her to the White House.

Sizemore goes on to say that he saw the actress at the reception later that night and that later on she confirmed the encounter.

"I asked [Hurley], what was it like there? ... I said was Hillary Clinton a problem? And she said ‘No, they sleep in different bedrooms,'" Sizemore reveals on the recording.

The actor claims that the affair ended after a year because Clinton reportedly fell in love with the actress.
