NEW YORK, Feb. 2 (UPI) -- Longtime "Saturday Night Live" cast member Seth Meyers said goodbye to the comedy sketch series Saturday as he prepares to take over hosting duties for "Late Night."

Many of Meyers' former fellow cast members and favorite characters came out to wish him good luck in his new venture, including Andy Samberg, Bill Hader's Stefon and former "Weekend Update" co-host Amy Poehler.

Even former cast member Fred Armisen revived his impression of former N.Y. Gov. David Patterson, passing unknowingly in front of the camera.

“Being out here with my coanchors, my dear friend and my ‘husband’ has been the perfect way to end… This is the job I always wanted, and I had the best time," Meyers said as he signed off on his final "Weekend Update" sketch.
