FORT MYERS, Fla., Feb. 1 (UPI) -- Owners of a pizzeria on Fort Myers, Fla., say they're selling their new specialty, the so-called python pizza "left and right."

Evan's Neighborhood Pizza has made a name for itself on its latest creation inspired by the creatures that live in nearby swamps.

The python pizza is mostly what it sounds like — a python meat pizza — with a few other ingredients that might make customers take notice, including swamp cabbage, hog, alligator and frogs legs, complete with bone.

“I'm very adventurous when it comes to food, that's for sure,” owner Evan Daniell, 52, told the New York Daily News. “You have different flavors throughout each bite.”
Daniell said he first got the idea for the pizza couple years ago when employees were discussing the overabundance of pythons in the Everglades.

“It's a happy accident, it's about being creative,” Daniell said. “We're selling them left and right.”
“The out-of-state people want to try it because it’s like a dare,” Daniell's wife, Avis Daniell said.
The cost of the pie is pricey at $45 because python meat costs about $66 per pound.
